True Wedding Events

Aimee Hardenbergh served as our wedding planner for our July 21 wedding, and because of her knowledge, skill, and creativity, our wedding turned out even better than we could have imagined.

Our wedding was a bit complicated in that we used two indoor spaces and one outdoor space, and we wanted a tropical theme in the Washington, D.C. area. Our reception space was very plain and cavernous, and we were concerned that we wouldn’t be able to make it look intimate and pretty for the reception and stay within our budget.

Aimee was instrumental in finding good vendors, going over all of the various contracts, and coordinating every detail down to the minute -- from decor to the ceremony to the reception activities. Her knowledge of space planning and attention to detail were much needed, and her ability to manage everything going on at once was truly impressive.

Aimee listened to what we wanted (which was not always very clear) and made it a reality. She had very clever ideas that made our wedding special and saved us money at the same time. I highly recommend her to anyone who is planning a wedding or special event.

I have a very long list of things to tell you “thank you” for. I’m grateful for your accessibility, unfailing patience, knowledge of quality vendors, attention to detail, and constant commitment to excellence.

Your knowledge and your extensive research saved us hours of time. You so often thought of things that hadn’t even occurred to me. Thank you for researching the hotels for our out-of-town guests, for doing all the work necessary to make emergency plans for rain, for thinking of solutions to the challenges that arose in the planning, and for all the other things you did to make the day.

Many of our friends have called to tell us what a good time they had and how much they enjoyed the day. As I have talked with them, I realize just how unusual it is for the mother of the bride to say she thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and wasn’t stressed. Thank you for taking care of all the details of the day so that I could relax and enjoy the time. I think Stan told you he wished we had another daughter so he could have you help us again. I agree!

Dear Aimee,
Jason and I would like to thank you for all of the hard work and dedication you provided us when planning our wedding. You went above and beyond the call of duty planning our wedding and it really showed. Every guest we speak to says it was the best, and most fun, wedding they have ever been to. There were so many creative small touches that you added such as the mini field trip for out of town guests, as well as the babysitter’s area for young children, that really stood out to the guests.

The organization of wedding timelines, vendors, and overall “to-do” lists you provided us was priceless. Jason and I both have busy lives, and I can honestly say that I would never have been able to pull this off without you. You have a wonderful talent for helping brides see their wedding day vision. I know there were days when I felt overwhelmed and you really helped me through it. There were days when we needed more than a wedding planner and you always rose to the occasion as an impromptu couple’s counselor and a constant friend. You treated us both with outstanding care and concern and we are so grateful for having you as our wedding planner.

I know you will have a long and successful career as a wedding planner and I would feel more than confident recommending True Events and Weddings to any future bride. I wish you luck with all of your future endeavors and hope you will keep in touch.

Just a quick note to say how much I admire the use of your special event skills in the wedding you planned at Hollin Hall/The Meeting House. I witnessed your transformation of a large open room into a magical tropical garden.
